In partnership with Farm Karichab, Ecovest is helping farmers increase the value of their produce by extending shelf life and improving market competitiveness. Through collaboration with local tourism companies, we showcased processing techniques for pumpkin and sweet potato, promoted drip irrigation success stories, and established market linkages. The impact: higher incomes, improved crop quality, and reduced water use.
Together with AgriLand Real Estate, we conducted soil analysis and site assessments to identify suitable locations for date palm cultivation in Southern Namibia. This initiative supports agricultural diversification and climate-resilient farming in arid regions.
Ecovest contributed to this African-led renewable energy project to be selected for the GET.invest Finance Readiness Support by delivering tailored business development and access-to-finance support. Our work enabled project partners to secure funding for scaling up operations that include the production of green hydrogen, ammonia, and tomato paste processing, driving clean energy transitions and sustainable agriculture.
Commissioned by the Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia, we led feasibility studies exploring the production and application of green ammonia-based fertilizers for irrigated agriculture at Neckartal Dam. He also developed a Neckartal Hydrogen Farm concept, assessing project viability through SWOT analysis. The findings are being shaped into two Green Climate Fund (GCF) concept notes aligned with GCF guidelines.
In support of the Homegrown School Feeding Programme (HGSF), Ecovest contributed to a Moringa-based agroforestry initiative led by the Namibia Nature Foundation (NNF) and NUST, with technical input from the World Food Programme (WFP). Field assessments in Kavango East and West were conducted to identify suitable school sites, engage local stakeholders, and integrate smallholder farmers into the supply chain.
